Born and raised in Porto, Francisco Bravo (Virus) is an artist that you can quickly find on the Portuguese northern urban-artistic scenario. 

Since his first steps in 2007, Virus has grown a very unique and distinctive style, searching for a balance between urban style/textures and contemporary design inspired graphical elements, the artist is constantly finding new ways and boundaries to the meaning of the word "graffiti". 

In the first ten years of his painting career, Virus was known by his elaborated letterings on the streets. Standing out with aggressive style letters and complex compositions, throughout time the artist found the need of exploring deeper into his style and began developing more detailed paintings in hall of fame walls.

By the year 2017, a sudden lightning struck over the artist and something that was obvious, now seemed avoidable. Something that was classic, now seemed tired. Something that was right, now had left. You see, Virus realized that not only him, but the entire graffiti movement was doing the same style and effects, over and over throughout the past 40 years.

So... He thought this was the time for a change.

Well, from this moment on he changed his way of seeing graffiti writing, his way of thinking and most importantly, his style. Since then, the artist is constantly searching for new ways and methods to develop his painting, mixing element that inspire him in a day-to-day basis like commercials, architecture, poster design or illegal graffiti.

More and more, Virus is establishing a bridge between an expressive and grahical painting. Between graffiti and street art. Between vandalism and art.
